FAQs

Can the RAPTACover stack for storage and transport?

Yes, it can be stacked for storage and transport. On a standard flat-bed semi-trailer, you can stack up to 162l/m of Roof-over.

Can I buy just the Roof-over?

Yes, all parts of the RAPTACover system can be purchased individually. We would suggest that when purchasing the Roof-over only, you purchase the roof mount adjustable feet and the stackable storage crate.

Do I need qualifications to install/ assemble the RAPTACover?

No formal qualifications are required for installation. Your crane operator needs to rig and position the units, after which installation is completed by tightening the bolts and installing the flashings (when required)

What equipment do I need to install/ assemble RAPTACover?

Here is a list of equipment you will need: Besser blocks (for blocking and levelling), Franna or Crane truck or Forklift, Laser level, Impact wrench/ socket wrench with 19mm Socket, Step Ladder

How long does it take to set up?

It takes approximately 3 minutes per l/m. Traditional methods are typically around 192 minutes per l/m.

Is the RAPTACover engineered?

Yes, it has been structurally engineered, all lifting/tie-down points have been rated and it is certified for wind region B

How do I move and store it?

All walkway modules have tine pockets included. RAPTA offers a stackable crate for the storage of the Roof-over modules. This means that, loading and unloading of trucks at your yard/ lay down is made very simple.

Is it water tight?

We have developed a flashing system to simplify the process. RAPTA can supply the flashings. We will also provide a flashing drawing on purchase so that it can be supplied by any sheet metal supplier.

Can I use the RAPTACover as an awning?

Yes, in either the Roof-over and Walkway or Roof-over (only) application, it can be used as an awning. In the latter application, the posts will need to be mounted to concrete blocks on site.
